Error trying to convert T-Splines to BRep - No topological components

Hi there,

I'm trying to convert a T-Spline body to BRep within Fusion360 Form.

I keep getting the following error with no indication whatsoever to what it might be causing it.

I tried googling the same problem (and variations of it) without any success.

I spent a lot of time the last couple of days improving the body and it's at a point now that is has no T points.

Any idea how to tackle this? I'm quite new to Fusion so any insight will be hugely appreciated.

If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

I'm afraid the model has some sensitive information so I can't really attach it.

However, I attach screenshots of areas that may be problematic.

Hope this is sufficient for some feedback. For reference, it's a car body shell.

I have fixed the triangle in S4. It's now a tetrahedron.

it's hard to know from pictures
you can export the file even without "Finish Form "

For the model, is there a way I can upload it without it being open to the public?

it's really hard to give good feedback with a model. would you be able to make a copy of the model, and then delete everything but the t-spline body?

Generally, you want to avoid all triangles, and usually anything with more than 4 sides is also a bad idea. the pics you posted indicate that you probably have sub-optimal topology, but hard to tell without seeing more.

the edges in your pics that are bolder than the others-are those creased edges? if not then you have separated edges doubled up on each other.

The "T" part of t-splines are great, but you do have to be careful with them. if you imagine them continuing on around your form body, the result has to make sense.

you can also share the model with an individual privately. if you have a paid version, you can invite them to your project. if your using a free version you will have to email (or dropbox, etc) the .f3d file to them.

Thanks for your inputs. Yes the bolder edges are creases. I will try to improve but if I can't get it to convert I might send a copy over.

@george.paschalis Just looking at the screenshot you provided, I would say that you modeling skills are not nearly at the level they need to be to work on models with sensitive data!

Stay away from continued modeling with applied creases. I personally almost completely avoid creases and use support loops.
Avoid triangles at all costs!
No N-gons over 5 vertices. N-gons are best avoided altogether.

I don't think IP and skill levels are relevant.

1. As I said, I'm new to this. I'm trying to avoid creases.
2. Trying to do so anyway.
