I have been getting awful quality every time I try to render my objects from fusion 360 so I am wondering if there or what are any quality difference between standard rendering and final rendering using flex tokens? Also, is there a separate rendering software from Autodesk which I can use to render my fusion 360 objects? I am currently using a 30 day trial and would want to find some answers before I decide my best option to purchase. Thank You.

Can you describe in more detail what it is you are seeing and perhaps attach some screenshots and the file that exhibits the undesirable behavior?

You could try out Blender, I got fed up with the lack of basically anything but the most fundamental features when it comes to rendering in Fusion 360.

I'm having a blast using it although it took some time getting used to.

Just the fact that you can do realtime raytracing using your GPU in the viewport and for rendering as well is just amazing... everything instantly looks much better in blender.

Give it a try, it's free and amazing software that really sets you free in comparison to fusion 360's very limited rendering options.

@Anonymous wrote:

... everything instantly looks much better in blender.

I would have to disagree with that! I went through your posts and I believe you underestimate what you already know. At your level it is easier to switch, because you already understand many of the topics and techniques.

If a user doesn't have experience with these things, just changing the render engine will not automatically create good renders. I have used Blender for 15+ years and I agree that it has become a really powerful application.

Okay so maybe I sold Blender a bit too hot, but I would say that I've still had to watch quite a lot of tutorials to comprehend its workings even with my experience. I'm really not sure if being experienced in mechanical CAD is a plus, it could even be the opposite as you might be expecting things to work in a specific way... I've had that issue when changing between CAD packages quite a few times.

I do see value in simple and easy accessible rendering such as in Fusion 360 of course, but the inherit limitations of said accessibility made me seek more, so when I gave Blender a go a few months back I was taken away with the results and how it gave me such a broader palette of expressions.
