Fusion 360 - Extrude or sweep

I'm trying to create a 3d print of this track with the proper elevations. I've drawn the track on a single plane but really not sure how to go about "extruding" it from the plane to these different elevations. I'm not sure extrude is the correct word here, looking for the method I should use. To even add more complexity to it, the turns have 6 or 10 degrees of banking and hte track width can vary.

I'm looking for direction / methodology on how this can be accomplished.

I've attached a pic of the track that shows the elevations, and my fusion file that only contains the basic sketch.

Two Lofts and a Thicken,

Demo had to remake sections of the layout for finicky loft errors, not smooth (coincident points and or tangency)

First loft constructs the undulation,

second one is track width and camber adjustments.

How about applying the EMBOSS command?

I did this from a sketch I wrote at random.

It is not connected in a circular shape, but it seems to have a track shape like that.

I tried connecting the tracks in a circular pattern, plus a sketch for Emboss the same length as the track.

Only this last part should be left or an error will occur, so this is the only part that should be removed in Extrude at the end.

It cannot be written precisely because all sketches must be made with splines, but it is one relatively easy way to reproduce the general shape.

The data is made at random, but is attached in case you need to refer to it.

It may also help to turn on "Allow 3D sketching of lines and splines". This will not keep your sketches constrained to one plane. In order to turn this on, click on your name in the top right > preferences > design > Allow 3D sketching of lines and splines. This may would help you do the path of the track and the height all in one sketch. Though I will say, if you are not used to it, it is tough to get the hang of it.

I made some progress using the lofts however there are several sections where it says the rail misses the profile. I've check each sketch and the profiles appear to be constrained to the rail. It appears it is an issue where the curve meets the straights? I checked the main sketch and curves meet the straight properly. Is the loft really sensitive to how they meet?

Maybe by now my eyes are crossed and I'm missing the obvious?

I think one approach would be to use sheet metal.

In this way, the sheet metal is used to outline the course.

Use UNFOLD to plane.

Cut any slope.

The course is then completed when it is undone with REFOLD FACE.

My comment was there for a reason, your first sketch is / was not accurately constructed, first step to failed Loft. (Should be one loft)

Absolutely, Loft is finicky.

Your original layout sketch was broken in many places, and I lost the fully constrained status when editing it.

All curves must connect to the end point of the line and be tangent constrained. Don't have this condition, Rails will fail. At the end of your first Loft, the end of curve and next straight line is / was not Tangent. When I fixed that the 5th sketch, Sketch 18 broke. To connect articles in a profile sketch you must Project > Intersect the Rail and connect to that dot. You projected some other point, and the changed tangency broke the sketch.

Black dots on high left side gave me the most grief. Still 3 missing tangent constraints red circles.

Please note, these two intersections are constructed differently (very close zoom). Use Tangent Arc tool to create the top one, and 3 point arc the lower one, the non intersection can also be tangent. Make both white end points coincident to each other, and they will not be shown as per top example, when correct Loft will work first time.

Just saw the sheetmetal suggestion, same thing, your path construction will fail in that version as well.

Now let's fix the file you attached and complete the loft.

First, let's finalize this sketch. Blacken all the lines.

Make all height sketches vertical. I don't know if this is important, but I will do it.

Connect the lofts little by little so that you can see where the errors are.

We were able to connect without error.
