How to create an angled face of a box

This is the body for a foot pedal. Basically it is a box with an angled top. But the top face is a projection of the base, so it is not just slicing at an angle. The front face of the box should angle to touch the top (lid). I don't really care if it is a sharp angle and not a rotation.

Here I have tried to do it by manually rotating and extruding the front side.

How can I constrain the angle of the front side to match the top. I'm still experimenting with the angle of the top slope so I like it to adapt when I change the angle.

Also when I tried extruding the sides it cuts through the front side:

I thought of building it with sketches on all planes but I'm not sure how to deal with the filet corners.

It would be really a help for you to attach your model so the Forum users can work with it. If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

Oh I didn't know about this. Thanks. I have done it, though I don't think the model I have is the right way to do it.

Good idea. Is there a way to create an uneven shell? The sides walls are 8mm thick while the front wall is 3mm. Because the sides are the structural support and the front needs to be thin for mounting components.

I like this way because it gets what I want in the simplest manner.

Can I add on a follow on question? Now I have to build a top off the slope. How do I start sketching relative to the angle of the slope? My sketch view is still rotated. Basically, the slope should be the new horizontal 0 degrees and I should start sketching relative to that angle.

I have modelled my item in sketchup, but now I need to change the dimensions, I figured I will bite the bullet and learn Fusion 360.

Basically my idea is to design the main body part, then project out the top and bottom piece. On the top piece, there are certain structures that have to be designed relative to the bottom floor of the piece.

I projected the top of the body on an offset plane, then extruded it to a new component. Then I created a midplane between the sides.

Now I want to start sketching with the top of the offset plane as the new horizontal like this:

The example above was done on the bottom piece. I can sketch and use vertical/horizontal constrain relative to the bottom.

But the hinge is supposed to be on the top piece. When I try to create a sketch on the plane, it remains rotated, so I cannot use horizontal/vertical constrains easily.

How do you re-orient the sketch origin axes horizontally?
