Stealth Bomber faceted panel workflow

Hi y'all!

I'm working on a project with decorative wall panels that are faceted much like the skin on a stealth plane, but the workflow really has me confused. Ive tried 3d sketching+extrude to cut, as well as the draft tool, and I feel like I might be missing something pretty obvious/not approaching it from the right angle.

Anyone have any tips on how you might approach this if it were you?

looks like all the facets are triangles? that makes things easier. create a 2d sketch of the triangle pattern, move the vertices off the sketch in the z direction with the move tool. create patches on each triangle profile with the surrface patch tool. stitch them together. thicken. attached is an example.

Here is one approach. Start with a 2D sketch of the triangles, then use Move to pull points out of the plane. Then, use Boundary Patch to create the surfaces, stitch them together, and use Thicken to turn it into a solid.

I thought it looked interesting, so I made it.

I draw this kind of sketch on a flat surface.

Draw lines also for the frame.

Draw vertical lines and lines that become surfaces in 3D as they are in that sketch.

Create Surfaces on everything with Patch.

Stich the Surface to Solid and you are done.

This is what the rendering screen looks like.

I think the rest is artistic sensibility or not.
