The minimum Minor Diameter of a G1/4 (or 1/4 BSP if you're old-school like me) is Ø11.445mm, however there's a tolerance of +0.445/-0 on that. This gives a mean Minor Dia. of Ø11.668mm.

Hope this explains why there's this discrepancy.

Hi,

I've created a threaded hole with a BSP 1/4, but the drawn diameter is bigger (11.668mm) than the Minor Diameter (11.455mm) should be.

Is there a reason for this?

Thank you! I copied a threading operation from another file with a hole size of 11.445 so I'm glad I noticed it!
