oh, right. Yeah, I forgot that, I apologize. Only Body Rotate creates a feature, not Component Rotate... No component move operation creates a parametric feature. Again, sorry for the misinformation.

I have 2 components, I use the move function and angle it 45 degrees. I tell it to capture the position. I come back to edit the move angle degree, and it no longer shows it was angled 45 degree's, just shows me the normal move window, how do i keep track of what the angle move was? seems like I am missing something simple.

you used "Free Move" (the default). Free move, because it allows all kinds of moves (translations, rotation, more translations, etc) all in the same Move, does not keep any values. Instead, use Rotate mode:

Rotate Mode is fully parametric, and will remember the rotation value at edit time

MOVE used on components doesn't create a timeline feature (which is why you have to use capture position to keep it inplace.) components are positioned relative to each other with joints.

This seems limiting, I thought going components was a professional way to go, I'm not really sure how to use joints if I don't want motion, or how to set the angle.

@jeff_strater components don't retain it? only bodies? seems like its working on bodies fine.
