Hmm, thanks for the replies. The 'configurations' feature seems like it will be great if/when it comes out.

For now I will try to just copy and modify the copied component, although it's definitely tedious and clunky. Thanks again,

Copying Parametric Parts (cabinets) question

I'm trying to draw up some cabinets for my kitchen. Say I draw up a perfect lower cabinet, and I make it parametric, so I can change a design parameter such as 'CabinetWidth', and it will update and make it whatever width I change that value to. Great.

Now, I want to copy that cabinet, but be able to change the new cabinet only width, preferably with a new parameter such as 'Cabinet2Width'. Not sure how to accomplish that? I can redraw, but that seems ridiculous. Maybe copy the original and 'paste new' and then build in some parameters for the new cabinet somehow? Or am I missing some workflow which makes this not too bad? Thanks,

I think what you are after is called "configurations". This capability is under active development in the Fusion team. This will let you produce multiple outputs from one "factory design".

Until then I would recommend just copying the design and editing the copy and changing the size of the copy. The downside is that this loses associativity to the original - if you decide you want to make a basic shape change, you will have to duplicate it in each variation.

Hi ,

you can "copy " the component the right click on the root " past new "
this allows you to change it while other component keep like what it is
