you can make fully parametric and wonderful cookie cutters with fusion. and for your needs you can do it with just the hobbyist (free) version. I've helped several people make cookie cutters with fusion.

(unrelated, except your going to try it at some point. fusion doesn't play well with imported curves. just don't. get use to using native sketching capabilities in fusion, your journey will go better. sounds like your already doing that with importing a canvas and sketching over it?)

Hey Everyone,

I am new to all this stuff and I am on a small business start-up license. I make cookie cutters and print the on my 3d printer. I am currently using Fusion 360 because it is the program people suggested, but I know there are many other programs out there. Currently, the only functions I use on Fusion 360 are:

sketch

import a canvas

solid: extrude & fillet

surface: extrude & thicken

I then export to an STL and use another program to create the gcode.

Is Fusion 360 the right program for me? 98% of the buttons I have never even used or know how to use as they are not needed. Thank you for your help.

PS; i think i posted this on the wrong forum and i cannot figure out how to change it
