Are the sketches Locked? Do you have green sketch articles?

Most SVG imports have green locked sketch articles, you can unlock them, turns blue, in my colour scheme.

Might help....

I have moved a component in a model as it is to be customised.

After moving it I wish to use it to cut the panel behind it and fold that panel around it in its new position.

Every time I try to cut from the side of the moved component it asks whether I wish to capture position or revert.

It will not work if I press ''capture'' only if I press ''revert'' but that is no good to me as I need it in the new position to cut from.

What do you think could be causing this?

Not enough information.

You need Capture position, and then Joint to stop it moving again.

whats in the moved component.

How will you cut the panel, Extrude, Revolve, etc?

Might help....

For the past 6-7 years I have always been able to move a steel post or copy or create new component without it having to revert to its original position. If I do joint it I then cant move it back. suppressing the joint only makes it revert back.

I will have to do this very mechanically by creating planes etc but I still have no idea what is causing this strange problem.

I cant upload the file due to its proprietary nature.
It appears as though something is going wrong back in the beginning of the parametric drawing which is locking it into a position. But can not find the problem and of course under time constraints we will probably have to send this to the floor to be mechanically drilled instead of by the laser. I will re evaluate when I have the time. Thank you for your time though I appreciate it.
