Hi All,

Can anyone tell me why the tool is over-running the boundary geometry when creating a 2d pocket?

Thanks for posting to the Fusion 360 Forum.

I did check the file, you have selected a Pocket option in the chain selection and Fusion detects an open area to machine that's why it goes outside for plunging and approch.

You can choose the Face contour option in the chain selection.

with this option you will get this result.

For the remaining areas, you can use another toolpath 'trace' that will run only on the selected profile.
