Can you elaborate o what the ultimate goal of the exercise is?

Do you want to 3D print the object or create a physical artifact by some other means?

I would personally under almost no circumstances take a pristine quad mesh and convert it into triangulated garbage!

I imported a .obj file of a car and would like to delete a rear spoiler. The spoiler is part of a single body. I cannot get any of the solid commands to work, so I assume its a mesh. But, I cant figure out how to get anything to edit it the spoiler. Thank you so much for your patience with me.

https://a360.co/3Tr0Bv0

I converted the car mesh file, containing the spoiler, into a solid. I labeled the converted body that is the spoiler in the Browser. My suggestion is not to try and edit it, due to the many facets, but to simply right click on the body in the Browser and Remove it and start over modeling your own. Model is attached.
