topic Modify Sheet metal component while keeping flat pattern in Fusion Design, Validate & Document Forum

I am Often working with Sheet Metal Parts, But sheet metal tools in fusion are very limited. So In the Photo below, I need to extrude or push pull the flange face... Seems like a very simple operation but it causes fatal error in my flat pattern.

Why Can't fusion update the flat pattern? How to Fix?

I also run into the same problems when trying to split body on a sheet metal body.

Do not try to do these operations in the Flat Pattern mode. Go back into the model environment and select the Unfold option under the Sheet Metal tools, Modify. For simple Extrudes and Press - Pull, you probably can do these in the sheet metal modeling environment directly before creating the Flat Pattern. Attach your model and show exactly what you need and someone will try and help you. If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.
