Design Question for a couple of shapes

I have seen these in some different designs but can't seem to figure out the proper way to design them based dimensions' and constraints and looking for advice even video tutorial that can guide the through them.

I think part of the problem is I don't know what they are called. Any help would be greatly appreciated, not looking for someone to do the work for me, teach me to fish so to speak.

That's just it I pulled these from some designs I have seen, but don't have the slightest idea even how to begin creating them.

Are you on free personal license or on paid commercial license?

Are you able to open dxf file?

If yes, first thing to do is right click on the browser and select Capture Design History...

Now select Move set to Sketch and window select all sketch objects.

Move such that the geometry appears more or less symmetrical about the Origin (don't worry about getting perfect yet).

Attach your *.f3d progress file here for next set of steps.

To answer your first question I am on the hobbyist license.

I am getting the sketches by doing this more of just an fyi

New sketch and projecting the exciting item (which can be a step file or a mesh that I have import, converted and cleanup)

I have attached both types based on that method

This geometry is rubbish - we will only use it as reference to recreate proper geometry...

My first step to use as reference is to move it to symmetry about the origin (roughly).

This geometry is much better, but it too is not located with symmetry about the origin and is missing constraints and dimensions.

It will be easier to fix this one, so we will start with it.

Edit the sketch and add these dimensions...

Add Construction line from center of circle to midpoint of line.

Add Perpendicular Constraints.

After we get this all defined, we will start from scratch to demonstrate how it should have been done.

Now add these dimensions...

Now that we see many of these arcs are R1mm, delete all but one of the R1 dimensions. Replace them with Equal (=) Constraints between the dimensioned arc and the other equal size arcs.

Thanks for the instructions I will give it a shot but I think I explained in correctly what I was wanting learn how to do.

Here is what I was looking for

1. Design just the center circle with the little arms nubs, but parametric so it can be adjusted based on a diameter of the circle, the idea for this part is that it's cut out of a solid part and another part will fit into it giving it some resistance based on the little nubs

I have attached a new file with an edited sketch I hope that makes sense

You are going about this all wrong.

Where are your dimensions?

There is no need to model skewed as we can take the solid and rotate to any angle.

OK, we will start over from scratch...

Sketch this Construction line between these two points.

Observe these white dots...

Add Coincident Constraints between the white dots and the Construction Line.

Start adding the missing Tangent Constraints...

Now we have all of the information needed to model correctly...

Sketch a circle with the center at the ORIGIN as shown...

Sketch a Horizontal line above the Origin as shown above.

Sketch a Perpendicular (Vertical) line from the midpoint of the horizontal line to the bottom of the circle as shown.

Drag the intersection of the two lines to the Origin (or add a Coincident Constraint).

Add a Midpoint or Coincident constraint between the line and the Origin.

I can't click it currently assuming that it's due to the current constraints, which if I delete and try and add a midpoint to it does this

Okay yeah that makes sense thanks for the video, helped a lot, I def learn better seeing it done and then replicating it, always been a visual learner.
