I needed to make a change very early in the timeline, which caused some downstream failures. I was able to fix all of them except for the Axis 4 joint system.

Here is an older version that shows what it should looks like (v35):

Here is what it looks like now (latest v40):

You can see that the Axis 4 metal rod (highlighted in red) is not in the correct place. It has been moved and rotated.

Please open the older v35 file, hide the housing, then playing the Axis 4 motion study to understand what the animation should look like.

How do I fix this issue?

Edit the Revolve Joint for that rod, deselect and reselect (Joint position) the correct alignment, for it.

I took a look at your model and I am puzzled. Why are you using bodies, instead of components, to create most of your design parts? I know you are using components for commercial parts but using bodies for the rest really makes your modeling job very hard. Your timeline is chocked full of Move commands and Capture Designs, if you had used Components assembly joints would make your model a lot easier and cleaner. Also the use of bodies make it much hard to edit and correct problems. I took a screen capture of one of your sub-assemblies to show you want I mean.

Are you saying the Revolve Joint (simplest way to locate it) does not exist?

Therefore you don’t know why it moved.

Trying to make any changes to any of the joints after making that change early in the timeline (the one I mentioned in my OP) always results in a lot of downstream failures. I have been playing around with it for a couple hours, but I have a new idea. I will just revert back to my V37 before I made the change, then copy the new body that was changed from my V40 and paste it into the V37. Then I will save the V37 as the latest.

Edit: It worked great.
