Newbie hung up on a part of a design

I'm hacking my way around a more complicated design than some of the others I have done. I am very green at this and I've no doubt my workflow will show this. I want to make a transition from the top of the step to the next surface down. I have a line about where it should end. For the life of me, and several hours of making no progress, I am coming to ask for direction. Ya can't hurt my feelings so any advice is welcome.

File > export > save as f3d on local drive > attach it to the post.

You are allowing us to look at your model but the Forum users cannot download it. If you are using a Fusion 360 Personal license, you cannot share a model this way. Please attach it to a reply post. If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

You have a black line in the picture.

Edit that sketch, and project the flat edge of the bottom step, Project the small vertical step edge,

the triangle will be complete, and you can extrude the triangle shading to the other side,

set Options to Join to add material.
