"I noticed the profile is rotated. Is there a way to control the rotation?"

Are you talking about the initial orientation of the profile, or twist along the sweep? The way to control the initial orientation is by placing it on the plane at the end of the path in the orientation you want, instead of on one of the input curves to the intersected path. If you are talking about twist along the sweep, using a Sweep with Path and Guide Surface is the best way to control that. Create or select a plane that matches the side you want to keep flat, and choose that as the guide surface.

How do I perform a sweep using two paths and a profile? The profile is the shape I want extruded along the path. The paths represent the horizontal (XY plane) and vertical (XZ plane) movement of the profile. I can make a profile extrude along a single path that represents the vertical movement but now I want to add a second path to make the profile move horizontally. How can I do this in Fusion?

update: I've been trying the sweep command. I don't want the second path to stretch or otherwise change the shape of the profile. I only want the path to move the profile.

Is this what you are after?

The key here is the Project->Intersection Curve command in sketch. This creates a 3D curve from the intersection of 2 2D curves.

The next problem is that the profile is not on that path. So, I used Plane Along Path and Copy/Paste to put the profile on the end of the path, then it works. Model is attached. I'll record a video next

Thanks, Jeff. That's what I was looking to do. I'll watch your video and play around with the paths to develop my workflow.

I noticed the profile is rotated. Is there a way to control the rotation? I'd like to prevent any rotation and keep the profile oriented as drawn.

Thanks!

Scott
