When I want to have a look at a body without other bodies blocking it, I click Isolate. And it works great, removing every body from the screen, except the one I isolated.

<video-js data-video-id="6328220523112" data-account="6057940548001" data-player="default" data-embed="default" class="vjs-fluid" controls="" data-application-id="" style="width: 100%; height: 100%;"></video-js>
(view in My Videos)

However, if the body is a part of a component, when I click Isolate on it, it isolates the whole component. So the body I wanted to view is still blocked by other bodies from the component.

<video-js data-video-id="6328221901112" data-account="6057940548001" data-player="default" data-embed="default" class="vjs-fluid" controls="" data-application-id="" style="width: 100%; height: 100%;"></video-js>
(view in My Videos)

What do I do if I want to have an unobstructed view of the red cube on the second video?

I know I can do that, but the video was for demonstration purpose only. If there are 100 other bodies blocking the view turning them off manually is not really an option...

Thank you, but that still is not a solution. Let's say I have a component with 100 bodies, where 10 bodies are hidden all the time (for example an old version of a part, which I still need to have, but I don't want to look at it all the time).

So, 100 bodies in a component, 90 visible, 10 hidden. Now, I want to look at only one of the bodies. I follow your advice and do what I need to the one specific body. That's great. Now, I want to get back to the previous view. Which means I will unhide all of 100 bodies. So then I have to hide manualy the 10 bodies that I don't need to see, that were hidden before. You see the problem here, right?

Sorry, I don't see - doing what is needed - to be a problem.

More than once, you can do that with selections sets.

there isn't going to be a solution that will satisfy you. This doesn't come up to often as many work flows end up with one body per component.

Well, if you can do selections set and turn the bodies off / on manually why even have the Isolate function in the first place? Get rid off it and make users "do what is needed" manually...

In first video you can see that the action can be performed in 1 click, 1 second. And as a solution to a situation in the second video you propose a list of actions to perform, in order to achieve the same result as 1 click action in first video.

For now when I need to perform such action I select the body I want to deal with and move it let's say 1000 mm to the right, so that the view it is unblocked by other bodies. After I finish my job, I move it 1000 mm to the left.

This is way faster than the solution you are offering, but still I do not think this is the way it should be done if we know for a fact that the result can be achieved with 1 click action...
