I have to make a rectangular cross-section in a helical shape. I have done this before for another part but I think the tools have changed or moved. So I have a sketch I want to sweep on a path and the path comes from a helix I made with the coil command to get the edge I need. I learned last time that I could put this helix path into a sketch using project/include 3d geometry and select the edge I want to use from the solid. I went and found the screencast I learned this technique which was no small task. and the command used there isn't in the menu anymore. I think I'm deficient in keyboard shortcut knowledge and that could be the problem. It seems they simplified the menus over the years and there asr some things hidden now,

Please attach your model. If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

I am not sure which rectangular shape you wanted to Sweep along the Helix path, I did both. Simply remove the one you do not want. The path is selected from the edge of the helix body during the Sweep command. Model attached.

Turns out the Project menu item appears when you are inside a sketch. I think you used to be able to start a sketch by selecting the project/include function. I start sketches with the P shortcut all the time and that still works but it's a dead end that doesn't lead to any way to get the include function.

Thanks for the replies.
