Hide all articles bar the sketch.

Use look at, to view the sketch front on,

use the Nav Cube to turn your view 90 degrees, should be obvious.

Might help....

ok thank you, it's not very optimal as a process.
A native feature would be welcome

I had a conversation about this with AD sometime ago. they pointed out all the possible ways you might hunt down the info, but were generally dismissive about the need for such a tool. (not an isolated instance, I generally reframe from comments along those lines now).

I still have the add-in MStsketch tools installed, but it is no longer supported and not in the app store. it will tell you what plane a sketch was on along with some other useful info about sketches, all of which I think should be native to program.

Maybe someone has written a replacement app, I haven't looked for a while, but I don't think so. someone who's familiar with fusions API would be able to put a script together.

I also cannot speak for the entire Fusion org here. But, this is a reasonable request, the information is there, and there is somewhat of a precedent - the interaction when you hover over a Project icon in a sketch, it will highlight the item that was projected. However, I believe it is just a question of priority (like so many other requests). There is so much still left to do in Fusion. There is practically not a single day that goes by without someone posting here: "I can't believe that Fusion does not have feature XYZ". So, we have to prioritize what to work on. Even though this is a valid request, it is not one we hear a ton, so it tends to get pushed down in the list.

The info is clearly available via the API. It would be relatively straightforward to write a simple script that does this (apparently it has been done in the past, thanks for pointing that out @laughingcreek )
