topic Static stress on a threaded connection in Fusion Design, Validate & Document Forum

Hi there,

I'm looking to simulate a threaded connection of a vertical tube. The vertical tube has an external thread. A horizontal plate connected to the bottom of the tube has a hole and internal thread. The plate is subject to a 30 kg vertical load.

Is it possible to simulate the strength of the threaded connection between the bottom of the tube and the plate hole? Not looking to test the strength of the tube however, mainly the thread.

Let me know your thoughts! Thanks!
