Hello, novice here.
I downloaded a SketchUp file and got it into Fusion. I can add the component to a design and move it around - but after I finish, the component can never get moved again. Instead of the component moving as normal, the arrows move and the component remains behind.

I am not in Direct modeling mode (history is on)

There are no joints

I tried Break Link, no effect

Moving "normal" components works just fine.

The test design with just this component: https://a360.co/484XArl

The component (outside the design): https://a360.co/3ON2Gzu

I am able to move the individual bodies (4 iirc) but not the top level component/subcomponents.

I even tried making an "outer" component to contain the imported component, but I can't move that either.
Further, it prevents bodies (e.g. sphere) from moving as part of the outer component too. Deleting the problem component allows the bodies to move as normal.

Any suggestions?

Thanks dave. Yes, it can only be moved at insertion and never again. I was hoping for a better fix, but if that's the best I can do...

It’s abnormal, should be able to do that, - basic function,

I checked all the normal things, except Joint to another position. The text can and does move.

That it is imported geometry is a clue, but I have not seen a locked component without a joint or grounding.

Lets see if @jeff_strater knows Why.

Dave, I think the reason is that all the components are meshes. If you isolate one mesh body within the component, you can move it but as far as moving a complete component, it is not going to happen.

I knew about the meshes ( from SketchUp)

But I didn’t try it in the Mesh Environment, the Move Tool is in there, but going to Mesh might unlock it. Seems odd either way.

There is clearly something amiss here, and I hope someone from AD will be along to investigate. in the mean time if you delete these components from the TEST BTT, save, and accept changes back in the assemble BIGTREETECH BLA BLA BLA the model is freed up and you are able to move and joint the way you would expect to be able to. clearly something corrupted here.

I started looking into this. I'm confused as well, because the initial move is the same as Move Component. I also wondered about the mesh bodies, too, but I have not gotten any farther than that. I'm pretty busy, but I will try to look into it more sometime soon.
