How to add a wall to a complex form?

I am new to apps like Fusion 360 and I got stuck with wall that closes the body.

I am trying to add a wall that follows specific shape and closes the existing frame organically but can't finish it.

It is a part of a sewing machine and originally it has a squared bottom, but I want to create a new one with a cropped edge, so it is easier to work with specific items.

I tried different kinds of extrusion but it doesn't work as I want to.

Is this what you are wanting? Your sketch has a wavy line in it but I used it as is. Model is attached.

Could you please attach an image similar to the final result you're trying to achieve, the desciption alone isn't sufficient.

Thank you very much! That is almost what I needed, except that new wall has to be 3mm thick, so I extruded it in with 3mm offset and now it works.

I checked the steps you made and now have much better understanding on how that works! Thank you!
