Convert surface to solid patch not working for me :(

Hi all I have a relatively clean prismatic convert from an STL but there are a few unsealed areas that prevent me from making edits like it were a solid. I have tried for 3 days straight and have no idea what steps I should take to get that orange icon to change to closed/solid.

Please can I have some pointers from the expert community?

EDIT: Remesh using less complex polygons. Then upon parametric export, select the face to patch, then stitch. The surface is closed.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Hi,

When you converted the STL to a mesh did you also use the Repair Mesh tool? This

tool will usually fix 90% of "leaks" in a mesh. You may also need to use the Patch

tool for larger "holes". Try these and if you are still having problems then attach the

file and screen shots and the forum can have a look at it to try to solve the problem.
