Emboss broken

Hi, trying to follow this simple guide. When it came time to emboss I was getting an error: "Error: Cannot create emboss feature. Adjust sketch profiles, faces, emboss depth, effect, or alignment options."

I went back to the sketch and made it a simple rectangle (i.e. did not put the 2 point circle on top).

When I did this the resulting emboss was all curvy (see screenshot).

Currently the sketch is dimensioned 2mm from the edge. The further it gets from the edge (i.e. closer to the center) the less wacky it gets.

What am I doing wrong?

Remove the Tangent Chain box check and then select all the the Faces you want to Emboss manually. Model Attached.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that prior. When I unselect Tangent Chain with the two Sketch Profiles selected I am only able to select a single face, it won't let me select more than that.

I need to select 3.

You have not learned that holding the Ctrl (Command) key allows you to select multiple surfaces to Emboss to. Try it, if you cannot get it to work I will create a video.

Okay, thanks, that worked.

I guess this is the first time I've had to select multiple things for multiple attributes.

It seems the 2nd selection set needs to use Ctrl.

If you select profiles first, then you have to use Ctrl on the faces.

If you select faces first, then you have to use Ctrl on the profiles.

I can't get this to work, even after reading the solution. It seems something has changed in Fusion since that Youtube tutorial was made.

Please attach your model and a screen capture of your problem. As it is now, no one knows what your Fusion issue is.

Can anyone help with a similar issue? I have created an emboss on a parametric design and it works weel for 4 out of the 5 configurations. I cannot work out what is wrong with the 1 configuration that is not working. File attached.

FYI - configuration 4 is the one that will not work.

On an internal build i do see the emboss for Configuration 4 appearing fine. Are you saying the text is not appearing for this Configuration on your Fusion build? Its a pretty simple setup in the Configuration table, so I am guessing it should work. Can you attach an image of config 4 showing where the problem is.
