It appears that in the January, 2026 version of Fusion, the parameters created by the user are no longer common across components created within a project. I started a new assembly, added a number of user parameters (fx), then created a new component as a child to the parent. I then clicked on fx and found it to be empty for the new component. However, the parameters I created in the parent are there. Is there a way to make parameters common to all components within a project (the way it used to work)?

As per your description where you placed the parameters. You must Derive the parameters from the assembly into each child component. Once derived, you need to open the Parameters table in each child component and make the derived parameters favorites in order to make them available.

Sorry. It was user error. I didn't read the descriptions correctly for the different Design starts (wizard that says "What do you wan to design"). I was selecting Assembly design and that forces External Components. I switched to Hybrid which allowed to pick External or Internal. I'm new to Fusion and my assumptions were incorrect. I see the parameters in my components (internal) now. Thanks.

I see now. I, too, was not fully understanding the difference between internal and external components. The new version of Fusion was throwing me for a loop.

Thank you for clarifying.
