Problem when trying to create threads

Hi everyone, and Happy New Year.

Just wondering if someone can help with a thread problem I've been having please. I have attached a couple of screenshots of a problem I have been getting and even though I do the exact same steps, sometimes the thread doesn't match.

As you can see on screenshot 2 even though I have selected the the face of the hole on the nut, the thread is automatically applied to the inside part of the thread on the bolt and not on the circular face on the nut.

I have tried the horizontal and vertical constraint as someone used it in a YouTube video and that didn't work. I have written down the steps i used when it does work and have tried the same steps and then it doesn't work. Would this be a bug or user error.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

What is the link to the YouTube video that you are attempting to follow?

Are you familiar with Components and Joints?

Everything looks fine in Thread Problem 3.png except that you have not aligned the components.

Is your Sketch1 fully defined?

I'm new to Fusion, only been using it for a couple of weeks. Its probably something I'm doing wrong, but I find it frustrating (for example the other day I done two in a row with no problem at all, and thought finally I figured it out, and the third time I done exactly the same steps and that problem showed. Sorry I'm not sure about components and joints.

Also the alignment is fine sometimes and sometimes turns out wrong.

I have attached my file (this is just a test and nothing special), and also below is the link to the YouTube video (but it is 5 years old).

Sorry, have attached a couple more screenshots.

The first screenshot is when I have clicked to select the circular face (but it selects this instead internal part of the thread on the bolt), but when I hold down ctrl it changes to the face I'm trying to apply the thread to (second screen shot) but it doesnt do anything.

I recommend that as you run into issues with Fusion that you ask questions early and often. The users here can help you progress much faster with less frustration as they have all been through this learning curve themselves.

Thank you very much for doing the video. I certainly have a lot to learn. Like I said before I'm new to Fusion.

At the start of the video you mentioned aligned. I did try the horizontal and vertical constraint to see if that made a difference but it didn't so i tried again without it and it had the same problem.

The nut and bolt was just a test to see how they would turn out on my 3D printer, and they did turn out fine, but when I went do design another it just didn't work.
