Lofting Irregular shaped Faces

Hi,

I created two irregular shaped bodies where the second body is placed on top of a larger body and is completely contained within it (in the xy plane). I am trying to loft between the two top faces of the bodies along the z-axis yet it seems to not be working. Any tips as I don't use loft much, is there a better way to provide a smooth transition between the bodies at different heights?

Both bodies have holes in them, (solid) Loft can’t do the request, in one stage.

If it were me, I would use Surface Tools, Loft may work, or sweep (depending on the required profile).

That will create a triangular cavity, that Boundary Fill, should fill for you.

Change to Surface Tools, (Orange Toolbar icons)

You will see that Surface Loft will do holes.

Then Boundary Fill - Join, does work on simple examples.
