Best way to resolve this shape

Im recreating a lamp, the base and post are separate objects, whats the best way to create the pyramid shaped details?

I created a sketch then used the surface tools and finally circular pattern but im trying to find other methods (just curiosity) to resolve the problem. what solid tools can i try?

Hi! There are multiple ways to create the desirable geometry. I reworked JD's model and use Boundary Fill and Face Draft instead of Guide Rail Sweep and Point Loft. The resultant body only contains planar faces.

Thanks for the solutions! i will look into the files for both ways. i need to explore Boundary fill more! interesting.
