Hello, I am new to fusion and I am working on tube coping. I have watched several videos that show splitting the one tube body with the other tube body. then they select the inside of the split body and press/pull the wall thickness and it subtracts the split section. Sounds simple however, I get an error when trying to subtract the tube wall thickness. I can subtract .001 less than the wall and I don't get an error but it also doesn't subtract the section either.

can the current version for fusion subtract body?

I cant select select the inside of the tube to split the tube body. It selects the entire tube, not inside or outside.

Thanks for any help

I am trying to make a cut on a plasma table that looks like what this guy did in this video. He split bodies using the inside surface and used push/pull to subtract the inside cut to the outer surface. pretty cool but I can't select the inside surface to make the split and further I can't subtract anything using the push/pull. Anytime I subtract the full thickness of the tube I get an error.

Yes, that is what I need. My plasma cuts periductular to the surface of the tube.

I didn't quite follow the surface offset and thicken but I am trying. I am new to this fusion thing but, I am learning. I have a bigger project I am working on but, I think if I can learn the basics my other questions may be solved.

Thank you for the help

I spent some time studying the file you sent. I was able to create an offset face from the inside profile and thicken it into a new body. I then split the pipe, convert to sheet metal and create a flat pattern. This is exactly what I was looking to do! Thank you very much!

I still don't know why I can't use push/pull to remove a section. If my wall thickness is .05 I can push/pull .049 but if I try .050 I get an error. I am confused, as I see a lot of videos showing push/pull to subtract a section by push/pull the full thickness.
