Hello Victoria And thank you for your question

I think the easiest way to implement it would be to have a drop down of already generated configurations.
But before there was configurations, I imagined it could be an access to "favorited" parameters that could be changed inside the web viewer to generate stl files to the right size.
My current use is sharing parametric files to printable, cult3D or Thingiverse
Here is an example on how i do it right now, but people have to download Fusion360 to modify a single parameter witch make it complicated for novice users.
https://cults3d.com/fr/mod%C3%A8le-3d/maison/parametric-rod-support-bracket-all-sizes-benoit_perocheau

In this example peoples downloading it just want to choose the rod size without having to scale all other features.
Also here is an example of solution developed by Thingiverse, but currently need the model to be designed under openscad:
https://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=6206481

It's mostly just easy access to one or two parameter to change or (if less complicated to implement) choose already generated configurations for exporting the stl to the right sizes.

Currently there is no good way to share a fusion360 parametric model to the web without exporting a bunch of different step or stl model for each configuration.
When I used parameter peoples always had to get Fusion360 to modify the parameter and the regenerate the STL witch is not user friendly at all.
With the new configuration tool, will there be a way to share multiple configurations inside the web link or viewer or are we doomed to use openscad for this ?

Thanks for your post here, @benoitY6VC4!

I have a couple questions to make sure we understand what you'd ideally want or need in a web viewer experience for configurations.

Would it help if we provided access to a dropdown list of the configurations in the web viewer, and let you cycle through the different configurations?

Or are there workflows where you'd truly need the table?

If you need to see the table, would read-only be acceptable, or are you hoping to edit it there as well?

Would you need to see all the columns and theme tables, or would just some key parameters for each configuration do the trick?

Thanks again, and we're looking forward to hearing more from you!
