Adding a tolerance to all dimensions in a drawing

Is there a way to place a tolerance on all the dimensions in drawing either automatically before dimensioning or after I've placed my dimensions?

Normally this information is either a placed text callout in the drawing or part of the title block.

Hi,

In much the same way as threads have been standardised in fusion, the request has been made to the developers

to offer tolerances for fits. Hopefully as more people request this stuff they will consider it.

Right now it is a note in the documentation or you model it exactly.

Hi @rjeAT6XG

The current workflow is to double-click the dimension once placed, then add a tolerance, we support multiple tolerance types.

Is your question more around setting this up before you place the dimension? So the ability to place multiple dimensions with a +-0.2 tolerance?

Yes, either set it up before I start dimensioning or select ten dimensions and add the tolerance to all of them.

Bear with us. We have a dimension format painter in the works. This allows you to “copy” the tolerance information from one dimension to another (or multiple dimensions).

It's been deployed for awhile, but it's easy to miss if you don't read all the "what's new" releases. It's under a right click while dimensioning:

I see it works by using shift to select multiple dimensions, too!
Is the term "format painter" protected? I've seen repeat dimension, but
didn't know what it was.

I don't know how they picked the names. I think this isn't just a format painter though, as it picks up the tolerancing style at the same time. Pretty useful though, I wish I'd always had it.

Hi ,
One thing it doesn’t capture is if you have a reference dimension. Still
have to go back and change those one at a time.
