I have included an attachment to both the rack and pinion design file and my final assembly, to help you understand what I am trying to do. Also, I am not able to achieve the right motion of the rack and pinion - the rack is supposed to allow the top face along with the tube (neck) to move up and down vertically (ie only Z-axis dof) while the pinion stays revolving in its place.
