Can I avoid seeing through sheet metal components when zoomed out?

Why do I see the steel angle components behind the sheet metal components when I'm zoomed out (first picture) but not when I zoom in (second picture)?

I would like to screenshot the entire assembly but I can't figure out how to hide the visible edges of the steel angle and stop them from appearing through the sheet metal component (without having to hide the steel angle completely).

Hi! This is the Z-depth fighting issue. It seems to be a limitation in the graphics system shared by multiple Autodesk products at the moment. The same behavior can be seen on those products. I am not aware of a solution to avoid the problem yet unfortunately.

Ah, well at least I now know there's nothing I can do about it (for now).

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply so that I can test the issue with my graphics card/driver?

Also have been having the same issue for a while. I have checked that the geometry does not actually protrude through the face.

You can "reduce" the problem, not eliminate it, by turning off Anti-Aliasing under the Effects option in the Navigation Panel.
