"Re-size" the Parts List Table

The latest update/revision of fusion360... version 2.0.4099.

Now I am putting a table into an 'assembly' view and I can no longer adust the table size to make it smaller. So... whats up with that?

columns wide for date, rows don't shrink...

Ya, my drawing is a linked drawing. All 15 pcs inside the design are links to other files. Same story on another top level assembly that I have. The BOM's won't re-adjust rows for height. I don't think this is a file issue.

Yep. Done. I'm not terribly comfortable yet sharing 'public links' because we are all protective of our work and things we are getting contracted to do.

This of course is a pretty closed group forum so I'll get used to it...

@johnson2423 I really appreciate you giving me access to it. Here's a short screen capture of how I'm able to edit the width of your parts list and I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary here. By clicking on the drag points, I can edit the width of each column to fit as I need. Are you unable to do this on your install of Fusion?

Maybe I mis-spoke. I can re-size columns. Row 8 is taller than the other rows. It's re-sizing the height of the rows that is bugging me. I'd prefer to be able to minimize the size of an auto-bom. I could bandaid solution by making a custom table and manually putting in all the data but that seems painful if I've got many boms and many assemblies.

Ah, that makes more sense. We have a bug logged that addresses this, and we'll push out a fix as soon as we can. Thanks for your patience.

Keep an eye on the What's New banner that shows up in product when we have new releases to see if your fix is in. I will also do my best to remember to reach back out on this thread when it has been released as well.

Any update on this? My part numbers are fairly long as they include descriptions so whenever they come in the parts list row width is 3 or 4 lines long. Then when i modify the width for a single line part number the additional 3 or 4 lines remain, making the parts list take up half my A3 sheet.... Please fix asap.

Hi infoWM32F,

We are working on a fix for this, in the meantime you can work around the issue by toggling the Annotation text height setting (under Annotation Settings in the toolbar at the bottom of the drawing window). Switch from say 3.5mm to 2.5 and back and you will see the table row height get re-set for the change.

I need to enter bullet points in the description of a part and reducing the text size to make them fit in the box is making them unreadable.

Any solution for this?

Any update on changing the height of the table cells (rows)? I cannot resize below a minimum threshold which I cannot find the setting for.

Not that I can tell. Like cmiller66 wrote, you can change the text height group within document settings (Check the drop-down menu which is on the left of your screen by default) I believe table text is in medium height group. Unfortunately, this also modifies ALL text within that height group, my dimensions get modified when changing this setting.

This bug seems to arise from the table cell heights being based on the text group height rather than the height of the text within the cells themselves. Seems like it could be a quick fix, but depending on if it's coded poorly, there could be layers of reworking.
