I, too, have seen this issue a number of times. The workflow to get there varies, but it certainly caused some confusion the first few times, as I was totally unsure of what to do.

The "Show Toolbar/Hide Toolbar" trick works for me.

Hi,

sometimes after starting F360 the toolbar is missing, see here:

If I move the mouse where the toolbar normally is I can select subitems as presented in the image.

But the toolbar has gone for some reason. This happens on my PC Windows 7 pro 64 Bit.

Clicking 'Reset to default layout' does not help. I only could restart F360 then it works again.

One more problem I have with the toolbar:

On my iMac (OS X Mavericks 10.9.2) I cannot use the standard Mac OS X screenshot tool.

If I mark a window for taking a screenshot all toolbars, browser etc. disappears so on the final image only the bodies are visible.

Hope this will be fixed in one of the next releases.

Thanks!

We also encountered the toolbar missing issue occasionally, however we couldn’t find certain steps to reproduce it. If you have some suspicious points that could help us to recreate the issue, please don’t hesitate to let us know. For the second issue, as it’s a limitation of our product, so here I only can suggest you to use the hotkeys command+shift+4/3 instead of screenshot tools. Sorry for the inconveniences.

In an attempt to help recreate the steps to cause this error, I wanted to share how I got to the point where my toolbar was missing.

1. Opened a saved model

2. Created a new simulation

3. Added contstraints and loads

4. Ran the simulation

5. Worked in other programs for ~10min while the simulation ran

6. Returned to completed simulation window and the toolbar was gone

As an additional point of information, in the View menu, the option "Hide Toolbar" available instead of "Show Toolbar" indicating Fusion thought the toolbar was showing.

I was able to work around the bug by doing View->Hide Toolbar followed by View->Show Toolbar

Hi,

I just wanted to add that this issue is still present (missing toolbar even after "Show/Hide Toolbar" is used).
I came accross it when my PC went to sleep (possible reason no.1) with Fusion 360 open (nothing fancy, standard "Model" mode opened, model loaded, half way finished).

What I realized was that Fusion 360 uses GPU to render (btw, awesome!) ... stuff. My PC has 2x GPUs (possible reason no.2) - one Intel CPU built-in, one nVidia high-power. High perfomance graphics card is used for Fusion, but for desktop use - low power built-in one. Maybe switching in between tasks using different GPUs, some rendering went wrong?

Than again... I don't like closing programs down. In between Fusion I tend to use other CPU and GPU "hungry" peace of software (possible reason no.3), like games! 😄

Maybe this disturbs some memory related things?

Just some feedback.

A solution you mean ? : The solution is to close Fusion 360, shutdown computer, reboot computer, and reopen Fusion 360.

It happend so many times to me, sometimes it can be also the left navigator column, and little display bugs. (grid, selection, move tool ????...)

(osx captain)

So, if rebooting is the only solution, it's really a pity for a soft like this.

I have a MacBook Pro and my toolbar always disapppears. It happens so much I thought it was supposed to as I am a relatively new user. All I have to do to get it to happen is swipe the page to the left or right and when I come back to it, the toolbar is gone. I click on the screen and the toolbar is back instantly. Sometimes it won’t come back at all though. It also, some of the time, does not come up at all on startup. Is there maybe something you have tried that keeps the toolbar steady? Thank you for your help!
