topic Drawing Scaling Dimentions in Fusion Design, Validate & Document Forum

So, I have just come across the Create a drawing feature of Fusion 360. The basic newbie problems I'm having is that once you have place the drawing on the sheet firstly the dimentions are scaled and secondly the size of the paper can not be changed from what I can find. I would like to be able to place annotations without the measurement being scaled down and like to change the paper size to suit my needs (A3).

hrrythorpe

To change the size of the sheet, go to Preferences

And under Drawing, you can choose the Sheet size.

As far as the dimensions scaling is concerned, I can't seem to replicate that problem. Are you using Fusion on Windows or Mac OS?

Also, if its specific to a design, could you share the design?

Thanks!

From Preferences, you can change Sheet Size of new drawings while creating them. In case you want to change sheet size of currently active drawing,

1. Open the drawing

2. Click on File menu

3. Select "Drawing Settings"

This will open Drawing Settings dialog box, and from here you can change few Annotation settings and Sheet size of this drawing.

Thanks,

Hi hrrythorpe,

Could you provide some more detail on the dimension value issue you mentioned? Provided the dimension is placed to the view geometry by snapping to the geometry or selecting the view geometry, the value of the dimension should reflect the true measurement in the design. Any dimension that is not correctly associated to the view should display a yellow exclamation point badge.

If you have a case where the dimension is truly associated to the view (no badge and the dimension moves when you move the view) and the value of the dimension is incorrect I'd be very interested in seeing it. Feel free to share your design and drawing with me, christopher dot miller at autodesk dot com, or email me more detail at the same address.

Thanks,

Chris
