Pattern on Path direction

How can I control the direction that the pattern travels along the path, meaning right-to-left or left-to-right.

The dialog doesn't let you put in a negative direction.

Is it related to where the body is located in relation to the path?

Would be good just to allow a reverse tick box or allow negative direction.

Hi, you can trag the start point manupulator in the view to set the start point to any place.

It is related to where the starting point of the path is, as zhanganchun said.

Initially my start point is located at one end of the path. So my first drag (distance) is along the path from the start point. When I drag the start point to the body I am patterning, I get the pattern exactly along the path since the body is at the start of the path. Now since my start point is somehere inside the path I can drag in other direction too. It takes the path from start point to end of path in either direction.
