For horizontal you can select the face you want to machine, then you select tool inside, middle or outside for tool constraint.

If you select the face then it will select only that face. If you select a perimeter you could add the individual holes or pockets by selecting them.

Hello vertcnc,

Quick question, is it a 3D or prismatic surface? Also, is the toolpath teardropping into the hole? If so, you can use surfaces to avoid/patch up the hole for that specific toolpath. Here's a YouTube Video I put together on how to work with surfaces inside of CAM for Fusion 360. Hope this helps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3Xt1Es_dg8&list=PLmA_xUT-8UlJjXkVwdduZ3PCgJMPEGRbU

If this is not what you're looking for, under the geometry tab, you can select 'stock contours', which will allow you to select areas to machine around (i.e. the holes)

Curtis, They are prismatic surfaces. The tool paths spiral or helix into hole. will check out your video. Thanks

Took a couple min and watch your video, Outstanding thanks for that. I question on the patches? Once the patches are created for a particular strategy. Can you hid them or turn them off for the next operation?
Or do you have to save as a new part and continue without patches.

You can override the model to be machined per operation using the Model setting on the Geometry tab (2nd tab when editing the operation).

Yes you can "Hide" the patches but you cant suppress them.
