unable to trim split no intersections found

so logically fusion should be able to find the intersections here for splitting, it does not

same with surface and even solid substract (lower left example)

here are all the fusion files

Hmm... Yeah, this looks like a bad bug to me. It doesn't even work when the surface is extended. Thanks for the files, we will look into it.

at the end I needed to do it this way

but the cut extrusion needed to go up as well.

Just FYI - I have filed these bugs as FUS-15691 and FUS-15692. We'll try to investigate and fix these.
