Hi everyone,

Is it possible to convert from BREP to Tspline ? if yes how ?

The Convert command is available in the direct modeling (DM) mode. You can use the Create Base Feature command or disable the timeline to access DM mode.

It is possible to convert from a BRep surface to a T-Spline. In a direct modeling document you can use the Modify - Convert command to take selected faces and convert them to T-Splines. Actually this is not converting but fitting. The difference is that the T-Spline will be fit within a tolerance based on the number of Width and Length faces you specify when converting. The more faces the closer the fit. If you choose the Curvature option then you can specify the tolerance you want the T-Spline to fit within. The closer the tolerance the more faces there will be.

Keep in mind that T-Splines can only make 4 sided bodies so if the input BRep surface has been trimmed the conversion will likely extend beyond the boundaries of the trimmed face.

what im trying to do is to convert an STP file that im yousing inside Fusion to a Tspile untill i can modify it like i want

Is it possible to share the file or show us an image. Often the problem that arises is that a design is composed of multiple faces and edges. T-Splines is really a single body that is composed of multiple surfaces that understand the relationship at each edge. When we convert surfaces from another system we don't have a way to also convert all those relationships. The T-Spline modeling techniques are quite attractive but may need to be integrated into a subset of the imported STP by selecting specific surfaces.

We can try to help out if you can share the specific case you are trying to solve.
