I just checked the report, and I have bad news. Right now, it doesn't appear that this will make it into the January release. I have sent an inquiry to see if we can increase the priority on this issue. I will circle back with an update, good or bad.

Thanks,

as you can see the loft with curvature creates an interesting belly effect which however should not be there.

this makes it impossible to work with loft and G1/G2 the same way I can in Alias or Rhino.

Thanks for the feedback - this is a serious limitation of the tool right now and and in my case can easily be a show stopper when one would need this modeling approach. The edge rounding (fillet) with G2 does not provide you with the ability to weight each side so one has to use loft with G2/smooth in Fusion.

Hi Cekuhnen,

I have checked Inventor's behavior. It behaviors the same with Fusion360.

I don't know whether it's the desired behavior or not. Will ask modeling export for help.

But for your expectation, there seems a work round:

Add an arc to smooth connect the 2 lines. then use it as the loft rails will make the belly disappered.

Thanks,

it makes no logical sense why this is this way.

a work around can do it but adds extra work/complexity and is not desirable

no surfacing software i know does this result.

this is quite a serious shortcomming

Here I did a screencast how I work in Alias.

If Fusion offers surfacing tools then they should produce the same result as every other tool. Otherwise you set up yourself for confusion and frustration. And in this case even possible fast design process show stoppers. Sketches can work but the way how solid modelers deal with sketches, it just adds to much work when for example I am in the ideation phase.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Byzv_NlyKp_2Wk1ScFluUVF3eWM&authuser=0
