OK so after more trials with Fusion assemblies I have noticed a few things about the history bar and I'm hoping someone can tell me if I'm understanding this right.

If you work on a body in your top level assembly, that work will be reflected in only the top level history bar. (Even if you convert it to a component, splitting previous and future work between the two history bars.)

If you work in a component, that work will be reflected in BOTH your component history bar AND your top level history bar.

If you work on a component in your top level assembly and you are drawing on faces, this only shows up in your top level history bar.

BUT! If you are adding features to a component in your top level assembly that will be reflected in BOTH your component history bar and your top level history bar.

Yeesh! Did I get that right?
