https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-design-validate-document/hazy-on-components-assemblies-bodies-the-whole-nine/m-p/5493388#M304642 <P>OK so after more trials with Fusion assemblies I have noticed a few things about the history bar and I'm hoping someone can tell me if I'm understanding this right.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>If you work <STRONG>on a body</STRONG> in your <STRONG>top level assembly</STRONG>, that work will be reflected in only the <STRONG>top level history bar. </STRONG>(Even if you convert it to a component, splitting previous and future work between the two history bars.)<STRONG><BR /></STRONG></P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>If you work <STRONG>in a component</STRONG>, that work will be reflected in BOTH your <STRONG>component history bar</STRONG> AND your <STRONG>top level history bar</STRONG>.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>If you work <STRONG>on a component</STRONG> in your <STRONG>top level assembly</STRONG> and you are <STRONG>drawing on faces</STRONG>, this only shows up in your <STRONG>top level history bar.</STRONG></P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>BUT! If you are <STRONG>adding features to a component</STRONG> in your <STRONG>top level assembly</STRONG> that will be reflected in BOTH your <STRONG>component history bar</STRONG> and your <STRONG>top level history bar.</STRONG></P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Yeesh!
