Colin those two options work however the force you to use extra steps while nearly every other CAD app has an export selected option.

The component approach forces me to make a component of the part I want to export and then RMB export it and then I have to delete the component afterwards. Imagine you have 10 objects you would like to export. I would have to do this 10 times.

While the full document export as well as component export options serve specific needs most times what I would need is not covered by those options.

Export the document I would only use when sending out the complete design.
Components only work when well I am also having components in my design already.

But when I am in a conceptual design phase I simply would like to just be able to move data forward and backwards on a per selection basis.
