1. how do you join a bunch of little splines into one

2. how do you delete the last point of a spline, mid-creation of spline)

3. can you not mirror splines? I tried to do so, it deselected and wouldn't let me reselect in the dialog box.

Skazmdesign,

I enjoyed your explanation of how you are feeling. I have used Alias and Rhino in the past and believe once you get you hands around Fusion 360 you will be extreemly happy with the results. Fusion 360 allows for uniqe workflows due to the combination of its direct, parametric and sculpt environments. If you try to design the exact same way in Fusion 360 as you do in Rhino you may get very Cantankereous. Have you had a chance to go through our sculpt tutorials?

Below are my answers to your questions.

Can you provide me with some more information about what you are trying to accomplish with this workflow. What is the reason for seperate little splines?

To combine splines use the coincident constraint on the ends of the splies.

2. how do you delete the last point of a spline, mid-creation of spline)

Right click and then select delete. A delete menu will come up and then select the point or points that you would like to delete and click OK.

3. can you not mirror splines? I tried to do so, it deselected and wouldn't let me reselect in the dialog box.

To mirror a spline you first create a line you would like to mirror about, select the mirror command, then select the spline followed by the line for mirror.

thanks Mike. I am trying to patch a revolve but nothing I did worked so far - how do i create a solid after i patch? combine didnt work

This is assuming that the user is associating polysurface to T-Splines.

The easiest way it to convert to a BRep:

If a T-Spline will convert to a solid, it is closed.
If is converts to a surface it is not closed.

Hi skazmdesign

I have learnt something. The meaning for cantankerous

cantankerous = Make you go insane, willing to hammer the computer. lol lol lol

So, I tried to put together a simple screencast here for you, showing:

Join 2D geometry, its won’t become one single spline literally, but will behave like one

To delete a Spline point just select the individual and hit delete on your keyboard.

Can you mirror spline? Sure you can. Just need an extra Linear Axel, 1st select your profile* then 2nd your mirror point (Linear Axel)
* To Select and Unselect make sure your mirror dialog box has OBJECT highlighted. No secret no tricks.

Once you close your geometry, it’s simple to find out if the loop is close or not, it’s become YELLOW. Then you can extrude and so on.

What do you mean, what kind of Poly-surface are you after?
