Lock drawing view, or notes?

Grrr... I hate it when my 2D drawing views jump around and resize! Worst part is that I load my views with text notes (not leader notes), and they refuse to attach to the view...even when I locate a text note box on a feature in the view. So when I accidentally drag the view, or resize it due to changing contents, the notes all lose their positions.

Can I either:

- Lock the position and size of a drawing view so it doesn't jump around?

- Or better yet, lock the text notes' positions relative to the view? Leader notes DO attach to geometry, but the leaders are not always appropriate.

A view with dangerously free text notes just waiting to lose their positions:

Thanks Clint! I already use the superimposed sketch grid, but adding the ordinate dimensioning AND relabeling is a nice trick! It's a feasible work-around (grrr, that word again...) that may work for 80% of my needs. It would still be much better if Fusion would respect the location of text boxes that were placed relative to view features. I mean, you offer snap-to-feature when creating the text box... why not preserve that relationship, just as you do with leader notes????

In this example, I've started to relabel baseline station numbers per your method (top side), though the text notes (bottom side) are what I'd really like.

In this clip from an actual ship designer's drawing, you can see a prolific use of text boxes. Just as with an architectural drawing, all the compartments are labeled. I suppose I could create tiny marks in a sketch for all these labels, but what a pain compared to simply doing the right thing by respecting text box locations? Afterall, CAD tools are all about promoting efficiency, right?
