Hi Kevin,

Currently I am not finding anything that speaks to the exact functionality you are asking for in regards to tutorials or videos. I am hoping other staff members might be able to provide something in a follow up post. Are you stuck with a particular design aspect of your model or more just looking for a workflow?

Best Regards,

Is there an archive of tutorials that show ways to fabricate commonly used plastic components? Such as matching access door flanges, ways to retain parts such using a snap-in method, and recessed exterior control or access covers.

I have seen some methods shown in the tutorials but they are not easy to find since they are not the focus of the lesson.

Hi Don,

Yes, I am modeling a product that will have similar features to the vaccum cleaner model that Maritza Garcia has posted.

https://fusion360.autodesk.com/projects/handheld-vacuum

At least that is the closest example that I have seen.

kevinwatts,

Kevin we do not have any tutorials specifically for plastic part design with Fusion 360.

I did find a couple of articles:

Injection Molding Design Guidelines:

http://www.efunda.com/designstandards/plastic_design/plastic_intro.cfm

General Design Principles for DuPont Engineering Polymers
http://plastics.dupont.com/plastics/pdflit/americas/general/H76838.pdf

As for Fusion 360 training materials this is what we have:

Fusion 360 Training
