Pinion drive on Rack

Trying to creat a joint or joints to connect a Pinion to a Rack, or roller to a bar as the vendor of the parts only represents them this way.

I've tried a lot of different things, but I guess I miss the point some how?

I have an idea for you. I would set a joint origins select them and applied connection.

Thanks for that, it's a good start, but the Pinion should revolve as it moves, no? I will try to find a better drawing of the Pinion, and rack.

Hello, I see your point, lets try another way. I think this is what you need. 😉

the profile component is grounded I added a joint origin to it.

cylinder is without any modification, it isn't necessary to add joint origin.

setup joint pin-slot

the last think is to setup motion link, it is motion ratio (in my example it is 360deg of rotation = circumference of cylinder)
