Ok, I think I see it, you have 2 parallel constraints, try deleting them and see it clears the error.

Hi there,

I just started to learn to use the fusion 360 ultimate and I am following the tutorial videos Autodesks posted on youtube. However, when I followed the tutorial and tried to add dimensions, Fusion prompted "Sketch geometryt is over constrained"

Attached is the screencast and note that the sketch dimension I try to add is the 59.402 one (the one vertically above the sketch).

Did I do something wrong?

In what conditions will a sketch geometry be over constrained ? Your help is much much much appreciated!

I also noticed that the tutorial on youtube is for Fusion 360 instead of Fusion 360 Ultimate, I wonder is there a big difference between these two softwares? There are something in the video that are not identical to the Fusion 360 Ultimate I am using, for example, there is no constraint menu in the drop-down list of SKETCH.

Hi, it looks like the 59.402 is picking up the line and not the center of the radius.
You can see that the dimension end bars for that dimension are on an angle.
Delete the 59.402 dimension and see if you can dimension to the center of the radius, also when setting dimensions the first point you click on will be the one that should move.

Hi there,

thank you for your reply! I think I did pick the center of the radius? Here is a better screencast

and also 59.402 is the dimension I try to add, but can't because it says sketch geometry is over constrained 🙂
