I am trying to use SVG for an engraving operation but when I import it comes in as like an outline instead of a single line . Is there any way to correct this? TIA!

Hi,

When engraving, the tool (usually a V-bit) is used to remove the material between 2 contours.
The greater the distance between the contours and the smaller the tip angle of the tool, the greater the engraving depth.

It is sort of hard to decide the "single" lines you want but I feel there are two ways to do this effectively. One is to use an Extruded Surface body of all the SVG file and then create a new sketch at the intersection of the desired surface bodies and a new sketch plain. You can then either Remove or turn off the surface bodies you do not want. That is one model that is attached.

The second method is simply select the sketch entities you desire, and forget the rest, in the manufacturing environment. An example of this is in the second model attached.
